The Charley Chase Petition has reached over 1000 signatures.
This is amazing.
Inch by inch, the Chase Columbia shorts get that much closer to a DVD release. |

That is great news, Stan. Here's hoping you can present this petition real soon. If that doesn't work so easily, start taking orders and present the company with an initial check. Hmmm, 1000 people buying 1000 Chase DVDs at, let's say $25 each... DOAH! It's in the bag!
Thanks for all your determination to make this a reality, ...everyone!

I have to be careful that I don't go nuts buying DVDs (or magic tricks!), but I'd go in for Steve's plan. I thought the Buster Keaton DVD set was very nicely done, and the prints looked great! I'm sure Columbia would do a similarly handsome presentation for Charley.

I heard a rumor that there was discussions between Sony & Universal to include Chase's feature length film, "MODERN LOVE", but Universal was asking a hefty price and that Sony balked at the asking price.
Any truth to this???? |
